Carlos Checa still has the ability to show the world that he isn't finished just yet and is taking his racing serious and wants to bring the world superbike crown home this year. The spaniard set a blistering pace at Phillip Island with a best time of 1m31. 383s, nearly a second quicker than everyone else. Also interesting to see that the top three fastest riders were Guintoli and Smrz all onboard Ducati's. The world superbike season kicks off next weekend also at Phillip Island. Should be some great racing.
